Digital Connexion announced Thursday the appointment of C R Srinivasan as its Chief Executive Officer, bringing three decades of leadership experience in telecom, IT, cybersecurity, and digital services to the data center company.
Srinivasan previously served as CEO of Sify Digital Services Limited and led Tata Communications’ cloud and cybersecurity business unit, where he scaled operations and built high-performance teams. His appointment comes as Digital Connexion positions itself to capitalize on India’s growing digital infrastructure demand.
The joint venture between Brookfield Asset Management, Reliance Industries Limited, and Digital Realty operates data centers providing colocation and interconnection solutions. The company is investing in over 140MW of AI-ready data center capacity across Chennai and Mumbai in its initial investment phase.
India’s digital market presents significant opportunities, with the country having the second-largest number of active internet users globally. The domestic artificial intelligence market is projected to triple to $17 billion by 2027, making it one of the fastest-growing AI economies worldwide.
“Together with our partners, we are committed to building future-ready infrastructure that enables innovation, accelerates digital transformation, and creates long-term value for our customers in India and globally,” Srinivasan said in a statement.
Srinivasan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication from Madras University. Digital Connexion combines resources from its three parent companies to deliver enterprise and hyperscale solutions across India.
