The Delhi-based Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, a leading Electronic Manufacturing Service provider, will inaugurate its plant at Sriperumbudur in April or early May, said its Vice Chairman & Managing Director Atul B Lall. This will be the company’s 24th facility in the country.
Lall expects the company to double its revenues this year. “This year the company has grown very rapidly. Last year we had almost ₹18,000 crore of revenue. This year, we should double it,” he said.
The company has manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Andhra Pradesh. Tamil Nadu will be the next destination, he said.
“The campus is almost getting ready. In the first phase, the investment is going to be ₹250-300 crore. But finally we have committed to make ₹1,000 crore over a three year period,” he said on the sidelines of an event in Chennai on Tuesday.
“We are going to be investing very heavily. We are setting up a campus for manufacturing almost 3 to 4 million laptops. We are going to manufacture servers and do backward integration. We are going to be setting up an SSD plant. At some point of time, we will also look at mechanicals and precision components. So, we are committed to the State of Tamil Nadu,” he said. “We find the whole ecosystem and the government agency very positive,” he added.
